The WordPress Marketing Team markets WordPress and its community to the wider world.
Our work is tracked on the GitHub Marketing Task Board under the WordPress organization. If you are looking for a card you think should be transferred from the old repos, check the previous repositories and then let the team know the link.
If you are planning a Marketing Table at a Contributor Event, please let us know in the Slack channel.
Come and be part of the #marketing channel on Slack. You can join our next Weekly Marketing Chat at its new time for 2023: Tuesday 15:00 UTC. Note: the first meeting of 2023 will be Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 15:00 UTC. Diary dates
New content from WordPress.tv, which appears in its RSS feed, is automatically uploaded to YouTube via Zapier. This content includes videos at their original quality, titles, descriptions, links to the WPTV pages, and tags.
Videos are uploaded with visibility set to Private and periodicallyreviewed alongside other social media posts.
Video playlist, categoryCategoryThe 'category' taxonomy lets you group posts / content together that share a common bond. Categories are pre-defined and broad ranging., language, recording date, and location are all set based on the WPTV description and tags.
All videos are posted with the Creative Commons license.
When videos are published, and notifications sent, depends on the cadence of recent video content.
To avoid double-posting, do not upload directly to YT. Simply upload to WPTV and let the Zap push it to YT.
Driving visitors to WordPress.TV remains our priority, and there are no current plans for YouTube to replace WPTV. YouTube content is intended to grow our audience. When sharing videos to social media and elsewhere, please use the WPTV version. All YouTube uploads automatically include a line in their description linking to the original content on WPTV.
