Review and answer people-based make.wordpress.orgWordPress.orgThe community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. Answer requests to create, review or edit copy for other teams
Co-ordinate weekly meetings (organize, assign someone to take notes, post weekly updates on the updates blog)
Moderate disputes, should they occur, between authors and editors
Help onboard new contributors, support returning and existing contributors
Interface with the other Make WordPress Teams and leadership
Write and maintain documentation for Marketing processes
Aggregate ideas for new tools and features to help the team
Contribute to events and Contributor Days
Encourage team participation and growth in the WordPress Community
Administer access rights to tools including TrelloTrelloProject management system using the concepts of boards and cards to organize tasks in a sane way. Invitations to stand and elections will be held in November each year for team repTeam RepA Team Rep is a person who represents the Make WordPress team to the rest of the project, make sure issues are raised and addressed as needed, and coordinates cross-team efforts. roles across the project, to start a one year term from January. If you are interested in standing in a future year, do reach out to one of the current representatives.
The Marketing Team has been moving to an election model during 2020 and 2021, and had a hybrid system in place where new reps were appointed, based on suggestions invited from the team as a whole, and a consideration of their contribution efforts within the WordPress.org Marketing Team. Recommendations could be made throughout the year and these were shared in the team. When a vacancy arose, if willing to stand, those contributors were subsequently appointed.
