  • WordPress maintained strong growth this week with net new followers with a 1,291 jump through the week. This is larger than the 1,237 growth (7.6% increase) that we had last week. While we ran fewer campaigns and saw some impression/engagement drops as a result  (this was to be expected), we still managed to hold onto a 2% engagement rate which is a target for us and have managed to maintain this.
  • Part of the overall performance came from the WP 6.2 BetaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. 3 campaign. This campaign ended up with 2 of the top 3 posts for the week, including the top performance. This top 3 also included a separate campaign focused on a WP 6.1 features campaign. You can see this broken down more in the upcoming section Top Performers by Engagement section.
  • Here is a look at some of the performance numbers for the last week:
    • Impressions: 234,627
    • Engagements: 5,073
    • Link clicks: 1,353
    • Engagement Rate: 2%

Attendees

Some metaMeta Meta is a term that refers to the inside workings of a group. For us, this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central and Make WordPress. comments about this note-taking process: Per our marketing team process goals for developing a notes system that is manageable and useful for the team and the overall project on a long-term basis, I developed a step-by-step process for note-taking in the above format. Today I was able to time the process, and it clocked in at 28 minutes (not including posting), which beats our team-rep goal of a notes-taking process that averages 30 minutes. Woot! I’ll be preparing the notes from March 1 shortly, and will time it again. As we are still in our notes-development process, please be sure to leave comments on these notes, both what works for you, and what’s missing, so we can incorporate your experience. Thanks!
