Tasks, Working Groups, and Team Celebration

Celebrations Thread

It’s time to celebrate and thank everyone for all their efforts during the last week.

November continues to be a very busy time in the Marketing Team with requests for help and joint working with other teams and to support the 5.6 release. We have lots of ways new contributors can get involved from helping to draft social media posts for campaigns to research, and from creating marketing personas to providing input into questions and answers for WordPress user-facing content.

Thanks to @nalininonstopnewsuk and @webcommsat for monitoring and helping in all these areas.

The members are promoting the times and gathering feedback from a number of routes on information that would help people take part / better understand what devchat does.
  • Space has been requested for promoting the two devchats in the next edition of Month in WordPress
  • Start on the more targeted social media promotions to tie in with the 5.7 start and to gather interest in devchat and releases in general. A marketing team collaboration will take place on 25 November 2020.
