What are we working on?
November continues to be a very busy time in the Marketing Team with requests for help and joint working with other teams and to support the 5.6 release. We have lots of ways new contributors can get involved from helping to draft social media posts for campaigns to research, and from creating marketing personas to providing input into questions and answers for WordPress user-facing content.
Many thanks to the amazing contributors who have worked on supporting the Meetup Newsletter, the Month in WordPress, Diverse Speaker Training Workshops, Meetup All local/regional gatherings that are officially a part of the WordPress world but are not WordCamps are organized through https://www.meetup.com/. A meetup is typically a chance for local WordPress users to get together and share new ideas and seek help from one another. Searching for ‘WordPress’ on meetup.com will help you find options in your area. event promotions, 5.6, the Learn WordPress platform, the Training Team, Polyglot-related communications / survey / WordPress Translation Day and much more during the last two weeks.
A weekly highlight of WordPress Meetup events and more news can be found on the Marketing team LinkedIn Page. You can keep up with the #WPDiversity announcements on the WordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. Twitter and Facebook accounts.
