The Marketing team promotes WordPress to current and future users and contributors. We create and amplify campaigns to support the growth of the WordPress project.

We’ve grown tremendously since I joined the team at WCUS in 2016 and became a team repTeam Rep A Team Rep is a person who represents the Make WordPress team to the rest of the project, make sure issues are raised and addressed as needed, and coordinates cross-team efforts. in 2017. I’m proud that we are now 8 in all to help with timezones and guiding how you can contribute to the Marketing Team.
Please understand our mission. We reiterate it every week. Our vision for the Marketing Team is to be the go-to resource on strategy and content for other WordPress teams. We are very successful writing copy, creating video, and producing case studies.
We’ve done an awful lot of things as a team and we love our “done” column in Trello! Each card should have a clearly defined “done = this.”
For now, our “done” is one of three things:
If you feel your card lies outside of these parameters, we may approve it. However, as our team grows, it’s important to keep the mission. There are over 15 Make WordPress Teams now and we’re proud of the way we fit in and thrive in the ecosystem.
