Our vision for the Marketing Team is to be the go-to resource on strategy and content for other WordPress teams. We reiterate our mission each week so that everyone who is new to the team understands what our goals are. This helps with onboarding.

We need tons of copy for these written; This is a great place to begin if you are new and looking for ways to contribute; Grab one of the cards from the todo list, add yourself in TrelloTrello Project management system using the concepts of boards and cards to organize tasks in a sane way. What is going well? Email campaign to gain candidates has been created as well as the waiver. I have gotten a few emails from some interested Agencies as well and will be reaching out to them today to see if I can speak with them.

@jadonn joined the conversation “I hope I can provide a clearer idea of where we are with the project. I do research and product development at InMotion Hosting. The WordPress Hosting Community team is working on testing popular WordPress plugins for compatibility with Gutenberg. We need about 100 person hours of work to finish testing the most popular (i.e. most installed) WordPress plugins listed in the WP.org repo. The objective is to identify plugins that have issues with Gutenberg so those pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party developers can ideally update their plugins or so users can know ahead of time if a plugin has been found to have problems with Gutenberg. The Hosting
Community team feels this will likely be a major pain point as people try out Gutenberg”

Ping is used in computer science to illicit a response from a target server to test it’s connection. Ping is also a term used by Slack users to @ someone or send them a direct message (DM). Users might say something along the lines of “Ping me when the meeting starts.” him
