I can have it posted on the Showcase by next meeting, so we can post it on blog next week?
I think this one is in a good place, great suggestions so far by everyone that pitched in!
WCUS Gutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ User Testing Testimonial Videos on WP Marketing

I’m waiting to hear back on whether the sound quality was able to be improved.
We just need to see if they can make it publishable before getting to the next step.

We have been talking about the Features, and potentially doing them for the Contributor day Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time. They are events where people get together to work on various areas of https://make.wordpress.org/ There are many teams that people can participate in, each with a different focus. https://2017.us.wordcamp.org/contributor-day/ https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/getting-started/getting-started-at-a-contributor-day/. on Friday. However, I think we could use some additional clarification on the Features and Content, and what the target should be there.
For the features section, I think it would be good for us to maybe better define what we want that section to be?
The biggest outstanding issue is the What is your situation section.
We also have a Friday target from the GC so they can review the current approach as we move to some of the other funnels.
We’ll do a draft of it based just on the comment in the doc, and then get additional feedback once its reviewed.

Removed the 24HR / Expohouse doc, and Manifesto / Unicef one too – they have their own cards; Moving DigiSavvy to its own as well, which makes 4 total that are really, really close to being done; Also created card for Moove / Qube Global Study, and made some suggestions to move these closer to being done
The Outline is as follows:
- The Project
- The Challenge
- Why WordPress?
- The Obstacles
- The Solutions

End-User Persona Doc on WP Marketing

@RachelPage
I have put in the first drafts of the deliverables onto the Trello Project management system using the concepts of boards and cards to organize tasks in a sane way. This is what the make.wordpress.com/marketing team uses for example: https://trello.com/b/8UGHVBu8/wp-marketing. cards. We are now in a validation phase for the information we have gathered.
This will push the final deliverables to early to mid May.

Content draft finished. How we do present links for accessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accessibility)?
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_ukg9nHcY_mKeNBcVBvgNAS6TxcIBLOuulUTjC97EbQ/
A spreadsheet which has useful video links for this card and others has been created and can be added to. A new Trello card has been added and the spreadsheet is being uploaded so we can discuss opportunities and how it could potentially be used.
On accessibility, the guidance is to mark the links up to show that they are weblinks.
Gutenberg “Hype Video” on WP Marketing

@cjross
I have a few commits for content, and they should be providing this to me this week.
I want to expand and also have the Marketing leads involved in content, I would like to have @mcdwayne, @gidgey, and @harryjackson1221 provide content as well.
The commits are for 20-30 seconds of footage of the question “What excites you most about the upcoming changes in WordPress?”
Seeking organic answers so just what excites
I planned it as an expansion on that original premise. My concern would be the video/audio quality difference depending on the upcoming content, but perhaps a hybrid of written quotes taken from any videos that do not meet acceptable video/audio quality

The draft is ready. Take a look here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Xy4_Ssp1oRj-MHvF5Deymw_UuD08JNw_aOavkm7DDCw/edit#
I think it looks all good but if you folks have any suggestions to add I’d love to correct.
Manifesto Case Study on WP Marketing

Task Lead: @harryjackson1221
Notes:
@harryjackson1221
Added the screenshot to card and made a suggestion or two; This is shaping up nicely. Also changed the title to Unicef, think maybe the subtitle should still mention Manifesto?
I will put this on my to do list to place in the Showcase in the next week, so we have a place to link to for the screenshots.
DigiSavvy / Urban Southern Case Study on WP Marketing

Moved this to its own card, added a screenshot and suggested some edits to share with the team.
Handbook – Marketing Team Badges
https://trello.com/c/MWKFHHVX/141-handbook-marketing-team-badges
Task Lead: @danieltj
Notes:
@danieltj
We need to just get something written up for the team handbook explaining the badges.
@gidgey and I have already worked on an initial draft and and is pretty much there. Then we can move onto first official draft etc. I think that this will probably be quick win for us and we can perhaps approach other teams to follow suit.
@mcdwayne
I like this idea. But I also lean more to the ‘your name got on something, you get a badge’ approach as well. Since Badges are essentially free, I don’t think we need to be too stringent on a rule set.
@harryjackson1221
I think there may be a bit of discussion to be had about this with the whole team.
Wrap Up Notes
@harryjackson1221
I think this one is an important card that will help us talk about SEO standards we should be using.
What is WordPress? on WP Marketing
@abhanonstopnews
I have started a card based on previous meeting about identifying useful WordPress.TV videos. Example of the spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1baCkFaLhxiapkFeKtVNpZeobnNfzQmOO3vEn42wAJ2s/edit?usp=sharing
@michellet
I have one regarding creating a playbook that outlines the kind of questions that should be included in small form, single page surveys (per @Todd Robinson)
Playbook for running small form, single page surveys on WP Marketing
@mcdwayne
I am proposing that task leads on cards suggest working time (like sprint Sundays or contributor days or just some additional slack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. hours) to focus on their items and get in a habit of ‘working groups’.
@danieltj
Another idea I’ve had for this meeting is just pasting every single link one after the other and then discussing in threads without posting to the main channel so you can scan through them and triage which ones you want to work on.
