A huge thank you<\/strong> to the 70+ web hosts who participate in the Hosting team\u2019s distributed testing<\/a>! This contribution to WordPress helps inform CoreCore<\/span> Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Team builds WordPress.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2019s development process and ensure compatibility across hostingHosting<\/span> A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the World Wide Web.<\/span><\/span><\/span> systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While many hosts are actively reporting test results, a number of test reporters have not sent results in a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosts: Please check on your test runners, they are not ok!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you need help troubleshooting, please don\u2019t hesitate to hop into the #<\/span>hosting<\/a> channel on WordPress SlackSlack<\/span> Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https:\/\/slack.com\/<\/a>. Updates are currently being made to the WordPress Core testing suite intended to collect data on the Real Time Collaboration<\/a> feature in WordPress 7.0, to help guarantee the feature is as performant as it can be on hosting systems and user sites. The feature is still in active development and is likely to undergo some major architectural changes in the coming weeks, with a few more betaBeta<\/span> Beta is the software development phase following alpha. A Beta phase generally begins when the software is feature complete but likely to contain a number of known or unknown bugs. Software in the beta phase will generally have many more bugs in it than completed software, speed or performance issues, and may still cause crashes or data loss. The focus of beta testing is reducing impacts to users, often incorporating usability testing.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\/RCRelease Candidate<\/span> A beta version of software with the potential to be a final product, which is ready to release unless significant bugs emerge.<\/span><\/span><\/span> versions of 7.0 expected. Participating in testing this feature will help make sure the release of 7.0 rolls out as smoothly as possible on your systems, for your support teams and most importantly, for the WordPress users that host with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
