Announcements: WordPress 5.3 Release!

WordPress 5.3 was released on schedule on November 12, 2019! This new release includes:

  • 658 bug fixes and enhancements
  • A new default themeTheme A theme dictates the style and function of your WordPress website. Child Themes derive from the main parent theme.; TwentyTwenty
  • 654 contributors, 9 focus leads and 12 weeks of development
  • Updates to all components
  • Gutenberg 6.9 with more releases coming soon!
  • WP-CLI v2.4.0

Community feedback by @mpcube regarding the Admin email verification page resulted in 2 tracTrac Trac is an open-source, web-based project management and bug tracking system. Trac integrates with major version control systems including ("out of the box") Subversion and Git. tickets; #48745 and #48746

What is and is not working? Would it be easier to communicate if there were a meeting for each time zone each week, instead of one every other week?
