The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Editor team _Updates by _[@bph](https://profiles.wordpress.org/bph/) * Huge thanks for [@geheren](https://wordpress.slack.com/team/U01EVE56E07) for working through the upcoming change with WordPress 5.7 and [added it to the spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OcGGtgXHPYhkHWHw79JRWI7mWkYRrP8OpyuGpnapqfE/edit#gid=1514543848). As of now, if you are to read a title with a screen reader, for example “New to WordPress #” it will read “new to WordPress number” , The accessibilityAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access”( i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Accessibility) issue plus the visual noise caused by that # and the images are the reasons of changes. Will write up a post this week explaining this. ### HelpHub issue [@deadpool76](https://profiles.wordpress.org/deadpool76/) found the wrong descriptions about PHPPHP PHP (recursive acronym for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) is a widely- used open source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML. [https://www.php.net/manual/en/index.php](https://www.php.net/manual/en/index.php) requirements. Though they were already fixed, multiple pages should not have the duplicate information. [@atachibana](https://profiles.wordpress.org/atachibana/) will integrate duplicate requirement articles. ## New Member Mentoring 🎉 **Four new members** joined the Docs channel in the past 7 days and were welcomed by [@tacitonic](https://profiles.wordpress.org/tacitonic/). ## Monthly Coffee Break February’s Coffee break is scheduled for **Thursday, February 25th,** being planned by [@sukafia](https://profiles.wordpress.org/sukafia/) and [@chaion07](https://profiles.wordpress.org/chaion07/); Find details here: [https://make.wordpress.org/docs/?p=11101](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/?p=11101) ## Google Season of Docs _Updates from _[@tacitonic](https://profiles.wordpress.org/tacitonic/) * Completed 12/28 articles in the [Word list and usage dictionary](https://github.com/WordPress/WordPress-Documentation-Style-Guide/tree/master/docs/8-word-list). * Still waiting for the parser implementation – 1 week till I have to send a final project report to Google. ## Open Floor n/a ### Share this: * [ Threads ](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/02/22/summary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021/?share=threads) * [ Mastodon ](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/02/22/summary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021/?share=mastodon) * [ Bluesky ](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/02/22/summary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021/?share=bluesky) * [ X ](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/02/22/summary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021/?share=x) * [ Facebook ](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/02/22/summary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021/?share=facebook) * [ LinkedIn ](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/02/22/summary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021/?share=linkedin) * [Login to Reply](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fmake.wordpress.org%2Fdocs%2F2021%2F02%2F22%2Fsummary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021%2F%23respond&locale=en_US) ### Leave a Reply 󠀁[Cancel reply](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/02/22/summary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021/?output_format=md#respond)󠁿 You must be [logged in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fmake.wordpress.org%2Fdocs%2F2021%2F02%2F22%2Fsummary-for-docs-team-meeting-on-february-22-2021%2F&locale=en_US) to post a comment. # Post navigation [← 🐝-Docs Team Sprint Feb 25, 2021](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/02/22/%f0%9f%90%9d-docs-team-sprint-feb-25-2021/) [Agenda for Docs Team Meeting March 01, 2021 →](https://make.wordpress.org/docs/2021/03/01/agenda-for-docs-team-meeting-march-01-2021/)
