MigrationMigration Moving the code, database and media files for a website site from one server to another. Most typically done when changing hosting companies. Updates

There are 8 articles still incomplete.

@Kenshino pointed out that we should not end up having a URLURL A specific web address of a website or web page on the Internet, such as a website’s URL www.wordpress.org such as wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org//support/articles/wordpress-development/wordpress-cookies; our use of article titles, slugs and terms need to be revised. We’re afterall on WordPress.org and can do without repeating WordPress so many times.

Design Updates

After some deliberation – the feedback has a decision on how options should be displayed – see https://wp-commhub.mybalsamiq.com/projects/helphub/Single%20article

The thumbs up function will simply register an up-vote and will not trigger a comment box.

@Kenshino will liaise with #design on slackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. to find more design help to assist @greensteph and @sarassasin on style guides and various design tasks. While that’s going on, @greensteph will continue to work on what she can. Other team members are encouraged to help.

Development Updates

Jetpack has been installed and updated and @justingreerbbi will be following up on Related Posts.

@sergeybiryukov will pick a development task and work on it.

No movement yet on Table of Contents but a suggested fix has been given @carlalberto will work on it

Project Discussions

@greensteph will lead the effort with the migrators to cut down on the uncontrolled use of categorising topics. We started off with 6 broad terms as categories and would like to move back towards that direction.

The terms should preferably be closely tied towards the forums structure. Such that when one searches for an Installation topic but cannot find any relevant one, they will be prompted to go to the Installation forum.

The Support Team will work closely with the Helphub team on making this happen in a meaningful manner.

@Kenshino also shared the Forum re-design mockups as reference
