[@Kenshino](https://profiles.wordpress.org/Kenshino/) [@hardeepasrani](https://profiles.wordpress.org/hardeepasrani/)
[@bravokeyl](https://profiles.wordpress.org/bravokeyl/) attended

## **MigrationMigration Moving the code, database and media files for a website site from one server to another. Most typically done when changing hosting companies. Updates**

[@normalize](https://profiles.wordpress.org/normalize/) is checking through all
his code examples to ensure that they adhere to our styling guidelines

[@atachibana](https://profiles.wordpress.org/atachibana/) has recently brushed up
some articles he is in charge of and has done further changes to his helphub-codex-
other-language-links pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group
of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality
or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in
the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can
be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory [https://wordpress.org/plugins/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/)
or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party..

## **Design Updates**

A discussion regarding the feedback/comment box and the voting functionality. We
arrived at a direction but have not made a decision. The decision will be made pending
a wireframe by [@greensteph](https://profiles.wordpress.org/greensteph/)

 1. There will definitely be a comment box for free text if an user down-votes an article.
We want to know why the article did not help them. The end goal is to help improve
    the articles.
 2. In order to make replies more standardised and possibly path the road towards automation,
the comment box may be preceded by a dropdown with pre-defined replies
 3. Possible automations (now or in the future) can be made in such a way that multiple
down votes or similar pre-defined replies will trigger a flag. We’re concerned
that the comment/feedback box may become unwatched and/or unmanageable.

[@greensteph](https://profiles.wordpress.org/greensteph/) is working on expanding
the style guide

## **Development Updates**

[@carlalberto](https://profiles.wordpress.org/carlalberto/) will be working on the
Table of Contents functionality (at time of writing, Carl has already submitted
a pull request)

## **Project Discussions**

[@Kenshino](https://profiles.wordpress.org/Kenshino/) pointed out that we should
not end up having a URLURL A specific web address of a website or web page on the
Internet, such as a website’s URL www.wordpress.org such as [wordpress.org/support/articles/wordpress-development/wordpress-cookies](https://wordpress.org/support/articles/wordpress-development/wordpress-cookies);
our use of article titles, slugs and terms need to be revised. We’re afterall on
WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and
shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress
core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations
and organization. [https://wordpress.org/](https://wordpress.org/) and can do without
repeating WordPress so many times.

There is also an excessive use of terms in the article categories taxonomyTaxonomy
A taxonomy is a way to group things together. In WordPress, some common taxonomies
are category, link, tag, or post format. [https://codex.wordpress.org/Taxonomies#Default_Taxonomies](https://codex.wordpress.org/Taxonomies#Default_Taxonomies)..
We originally started out with 6 but somehow have 31 or so categories right now.

As we reached the 1 hour mark, we have postponed the rest of the discussions to
the next meeting 16 August.
