The following Trac tickets have UI problems that need to be solved. Per the preferred workflow, please brainstorm in the UI group (on this site, in irc) rather than doing it on the Trac ticket. When we have a solution that the group thinks is the right one, that’s when it should go on the ticket. The best way to facilitate this is something we’ll have to experiment with, but for now I’m going to start with creating a post (category: Trac tickets) for each ticket, so we can have a comment thread for each one, and will link to all current issues from this page.

Problem: If a graphic file is white in color AND has transparent background, as often a case with PNG and GIF files, there is no chance for it to be visible as icon in Media Library. It will always be white on white.
Need to figure out best approach to solve this problem while not introducing bloat for displaying images that don’t have this issue. Brainstorm in the comments.
Could use a new image on the Flash upload buttons ticket: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/8545#comment:41. Then we can commit and be done with that one.
Is anyone willing to mess with the sprite and get ticket https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/8545 fixed within the next day or so? It’s a small background color/image issue that goes lost in the shuffle but probably aggravates every designer here when uploading media.
