Using Data Views to manage navigation menus

Exploring different treatments for the Featured imageFeatured image A featured image is the main image used on your blog archive page and is pulled when the post or page is shared on social media. The image can be used to display in widget areas on your site or in a summary list of posts. control

Favorites in Data views

Status: Conceptual | @jameskoster

A conceptual mockup for a feature in Data views that allows users to mark records as ‘favorites’. Records marked as favorites will appear pinned above tables and grids so they’re always easy to find. Discussion on github.

Re-organising the blockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. transform menu

Contextual ordering controls in data views

A small optimisation seeking to improve the UXUX UX is an acronym for User Experience - the way the user uses the UI. Think ‘what they are doing’ and less about how they do it. around setting the display order in the Data Views component.

ListboxControl component

Status: Needs feedback | @jameskoster

Listboxes can be used as controls in their own right, and also power more complex components like Comboboxes and Autocomplete inputs. Discussion around adding such a component to the WordPress components package is ongoing. Join in.
