This is a bi-weekly update of work [the design group](https://make.wordpress.org/design/handbook/about-the-team/)
contributed to. Work happens in [overview issues](https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22Needs+Design+Feedback%22),
and in [needs design](https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22Needs+Design%22+),
or [needs design feedback](https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22Needs+Design+Feedback%22+)
issues.

If you have updates you’d like to include in the next Design Share, drop a note
in [the #design channel](https://make.wordpress.org/chat/). If you have questions,
you can also ask them there, or as a comment on this post.

## Site Editor animation refinements

Adding an option in data views that allows consumers to specify that fields display
as label-less badges. Initially this will be utilised by ‘Sync status’ in Pattern
management, and pave the way for fields like file name, type, size, and resolution
in Media. Pull request [here](https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/60284).

There are some quirks around the customisation of bundled data views. For instance

They provide a way for functions to modify data of other functions. They are the
counterpart to Actions. Unlike Actions, filters are meant to work in an isolated
manner, and should never have side effects such as affecting global variables and
output. in the TrashTrash Trash in WordPress is like the Recycle Bin on your PC

and editors) have the ability to delete a post, page, and/or comments. When you

Exploring a separate toolbar for bulk actions.

## WP.org Homepage Updates

Status: Completed.

We assisted with light updates to several modules on the wordpress.orgWordPress.

## BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Naming & Connections

Status: In progress.

Based on designs by Saxon, we’re working with Dan and Kai to improve the flow for
naming blocks, and conditionally allow local pattern overrides inside synced patterns.
