Hi, all! Here are a few projects the Design Team has contributed to over the past couple of weeks.
DropdownMenu component
An initial look at designs for the new DropdownMenu component that seeks to install some consistency versus the current implementation.
Pages Grid
Refining the recently-implemented grid data view. Follow along in this issue.
Page quick actions
An early exploration around how we might expand quick actions in the Pages list. Issue.
Experiments page
Very early sketch for an updated Experiments page in the GutenbergGutenbergThe Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/pluginPluginA plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party. Inactive experiments are separate and emphasized using imagery.
WP.org Documentation Chapter Listing
A small iteration of the layout and behavior of the Chapters list for wp.org documentation, featuring a simplified chapters list, a reduced collapse icon and behavior, sticky behaviors on scrolling, and refined responsive behaviors.
WP.org Design Library tweaks
Continuing with the redesign of the WordPress site, we made some tweaks to site-wide components.
