Design meeting notes 3 June, 2020

GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ update

The Gutenberg team needs help with those PRs, please check them out and comment.

WCEU Contributor dayContributor Day Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time. Contributor day will take place on June 4th, from 13:00 to 18:00 UTC. We decided on the following agenda for Contributor day

Open Floor

@joyously brought up that the CSSCSS CSS is an acronym for cascading style sheets. This is what controls the design or look and feel of a site. meeting indicated they wanted to get more involved with design on a possible solution for admin color schemes using CSS variables.

@nrqsnchz, @ryelle and @joedolson started work on color schemes and dark high-contrast.

Several opinions were given, the team recommended that it was best to meet in the #core-css chat meeting to discuss naming convention with the CSS team. The meeting has been scheduled for Thursday June 11 at 9:00 pm UTC. Anyone interested on color naming convention is welcome to attend.
