GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ is now in betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process., with that comes a new opportunity for testing.

There is now a testing page dedicated to Gutenberg, you can find it right here. There are currently 2 types of testing being looked for, each has a central feedback form.

Looking for other ways to give feedback? You can also write a blog post (let the editor team know about that in SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. Your feedback and testing is really important at this stage of Gutenberg, it really does matter and help make this as good as it can be.

Are you guys going to completely replace the wp-editor with Guttenberg ?

Even if the wp-editor is being called in custom post types (without using metaboxes) ?

And what about the simple text editor where you can type htmlHTML HTML is an acronym for Hyper Text Markup Language. It is a markup language that is used in the development of web pages and websites. and stuff?

It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party on some of my sites in local.
All sites that i have published uses composers like Divi, WPBakery Visual Composer others.
So i can’t give you a complete test results of Gutenberg without the complete integration in a WP site that use Composers.

By the way this are my test results using the plugin for a post.
Can’t have a preview of the post. Need to test it also on mobile
Can’t save a draft and preview.
Can’t edit the code of the page/post
Can’t add a categoryCategory The 'category' taxonomy lets you group posts / content together that share a common bond. Categories are pre-defined and broad ranging. editing the post

Please in the final version of WP that will include Gutengerg leave the Gutenberg composer disabled by default with the ability to activate it.

Will the handbook page tests get fleshed out at any point. It would be much more useful if specific tasks and testing scripts were provided. (It would also result in more people testing the same things.)

  What do you think would be good to add? We actually have 2 scripts currently listed there, totally into more though as it grows and makes sense. We have been creating the scripts over on GitHubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. What is the recommended way to do so? Is there a reference to the used styles of the individual blocks or similar?
