It may also be referred to as a <strong>diff<\/strong>. A patch can be <em>applied<\/em> to a codebase for testing.<\/span><\/span><\/span> ready for review.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For <a href=\"https:\/\/core.trac.wordpress.org\/ticket\/65215\">#65215<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/westonruter\/\" class=\"mention\"><span class=\"mentions-prefix\">@<\/span>westonruter<\/a> shared that there is some feedback on the PR <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/WordPress\/wordpress-develop\/pull\/11790#issuecomment-4936349410\">#11790<\/a> that has not been actioned yet.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Performance Lab <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>Plugin<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Plugin<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/\">https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/<\/a> or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.<\/span><\/span><\/span> (and other performance plugins)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/westonruter\/\" class=\"mention\"><span class=\"mentions-prefix\">@<\/span>westonruter<\/a> highlighted PR <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/WordPress\/performance\/pull\/2601\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/github.com\/WordPress\/performance\/pull\/2601\">#2601<\/a>, which updates <code>wp-coding-standards\/wpcs<\/code> to 3.4.1, and shared that there was an important security release for <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>WPCS<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>WordPress Community Support<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>A public benefit corporation and a subsidiary of the WordPress Foundation, <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpressfoundation.org\/news\/2016\/introducing-wordpress-community-support-a-public-benefit-subsidiary\/\">established<\/a> in 2016.<\/span><\/span><\/span>. While it has been applied to the Performance repo, anyone with other repositories using an older version should update as soon as possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/mukesh27\/\" class=\"mention\"><span class=\"mentions-prefix\">@<\/span>mukesh27<\/a> shared that work has been ongoing over the past few weeks on accurate sizes for the Gallery <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>block<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Block<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor.
