If you’ll be at SXSW this year RSVP…

If you’ll be at SXSW this year, RSVP to come to the WordPress party on the 12th! Snacks, booze, WordPress people, what more could you ask for? No SXSW required, just an RSVP.

Also, if anyone wants to volunteer at the booth to help people with their sites/answer questions, get in touch with Rose, who is coordinating the booth.

There’ll be a booth at the South by…

There’ll be a booth at the South by Southwest trade show (starts today) with a WP Genius Bar, like at WordCamps. If any coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. contribs, forum volunteers, etc are in attendance at SxSW and are interested in doing an hour or two of genius bar, leave a comment here and I’ll pingPing The act of sending a very small amount of data to an end point. Ping is used in computer science to illicit a response from a target server to test it’s connection. Ping is also a term used by Slack users to @ someone or send them a direct message (DM). Users might say something along the lines of “Ping me when the meeting starts.” you to set up a time.

Last year’s SxSW WordPress BBQ was so m…

Last year’s SxSW WordPress BBQ was so much fun we thought we’d do it again! Join us at South by Southwest this year for our 2nd annual BBQ lunch on Sunday, March 14. We’ll be back at the Conjunctured co-working space at 1309 East 7th St. in Austin, and will be praying for weather as good as last year’s so that we can eat outside again. Lunch will kick off at noon and will go until we run out of food; with almost a hundred pounds of meat from Rudy’s, I’m guessing we’ll be hanging out for a while. 🙂
