You should introduce your project at the next 3.8 meeting. Be sure to bring

 13. @Sam Anyone working on Appearance > Editor? That functionality would work great
with the current WP adminadmin (and super admin) Post list/edit pages paradigms:
first a list page of all theme files then click Edit link to see the editor for
a selected file. And sorry to be late to the party, out of town but interested
in the idea of a release geared towards functionality as plugins. Thx.

other interested parties and getting a pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of
software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress
website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress
websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and
integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org

 17. Here is a mockup for a front-end editor: [http://avryl.org/mpttt/](http://avryl.org/mpttt/).
It’s still very basic, but I wanted to share it as soon as possible.
       I’m not
sure if front-end editing posts falls under Inline Editing/Designing entirely,
in a sense this falls more under CUEX and a lot of it will depend on what they’re
      doing.

Some plugins out there already address some of this, but they are either old/

They appear to have been used in a version of betaBeta A pre-release of software

versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close
in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often
occur as part of the process. earlier this year, but were mysteriously removed.

 74. And they are part of this list of removed items: [https://weston.ruter.net/2013/07/30/list-of-functions-removed-from-wordpress-3-6-rc2-since-beta-3/](https://weston.ruter.net/2013/07/30/list-of-functions-removed-from-wordpress-3-6-rc2-since-beta-3/)
 75. It would be very useful to be able to pull out, say the first video that’s embedded
in a post and display it outside of the content area, so tags like that will
be very useful. Now you have to use custom fields for video for example if you
want to do that, which I hate as they don’t work with the WordPress iPhone app

The Core Development Team builds WordPress. development is moving toward de-construction

All WP plugins require the WP

or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.. But, developers of themes —
real estate, directories, social media…blah blah… eschew the WP Admin environment
and provide their own custom front end forms.
 87. However, there are plugins such as Booking Calendars that give the Author role
User their own options and settings to create, name, save, and modify each specific
calendar for their own posts. But, since Plugins with such back end functions
only “work” in the Admin Dashboard then any theme (all of them, really) that
redirects the registered user to a Front End form negates or nullifies the use
      of such a plugin.
 88. I am longing for the day that all properly written WP plugins, once installed,
can also display their Menus and sub menus for Options and Settings inside any
front end form or template. That the back end functionality and availability
of PLUGINS is as freely transplanted to User Front Ends.

the standard wp-login page. For password reset it would be nice to have a couple
filters and/or actions so one could add a security question to it as an example.
Also set it so people can add a two tier authentication system easily as WP users
are doing more with stores and other stuff involving sensitive data being stored
and security should become more of a priority.
