Twenty Twenty-One and Twenty Nineteen updates now available

After monitoring and reviewing the Support Forum issues and Trac tickets created following the release of WordPress 5.6, the need for a fast-follow WordPress 5.6.1 release before the end of 2020 was ruled out as no tickets were identified as urgent.

However, it became apparent that a large handful of those tickets were for small, self contained bugs that were discovered as more sites started using the new default theme, Twenty Twenty-One. Default themes are often updated in unison with WordPress releases, but there is nothing preventing them from being updated on their own. Since a WordPress 5.6.1 fast-follow was ruled out, it was deemed preferable to fix these bugs in Twenty Twenty-One independent of a release of WordPress itself before the end of 2020.

As a result, new versions of the Twenty Twenty-One and Twenty Nineteen default themes have been released to the WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users.
