Open Floor

Several updates were shared:

• CSS support for wp-scripts build was merged.
• There is now improved support for distinct configurations for unit and end-to-end tests through wp-scripts.
• There is (now complete as of this writing) progress toward upgrading to the newly-released Prettier 2.0.
  • This prompted a side conversation about whether there is standards conflictconflict A conflict occurs when a patch changes code that was modified after the patch was created. These patches are considered stale, and will require a refresh of the changes before it can be applied, or the conflicts will need to be resolved. with one of the breaking changes in how spacing is applied function expressions are assigned. The upgrade will include spaces after the function keyword. There appears to be no guidelines one way or the other. It was agreed this would be good to clarify in the guidelines.

@adamsilverstein notes that WordCamp Europe Contributor Day is fast approaching, and shared a link to a post which describes “What To Know” for experienced contributors and team facilitators. Adam will volunteer to help lead a JavaScript team, and would appreciate any others to express interest in helping to lead or participate.
