Found a bugbug A bug is an error or unexpected result. Performance improvements, code optimization, and are considered enhancements, not defects. After feature freeze, only bugs are dealt with, with regressions (adverse changes from the previous version) being the highest priority.? Create a ticket in the bug tracker.
Want to contribute? Get started quickly with tickets marked as good first bugs for new contributors or join a bug scrub. There’s more on the reports page, like patches needing testing, and on feature projects page.

I’ve been maintaining a bunch of PRs, several of which are in need of reviews or technical help to progress:

Reusable blockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. Heading block level control revision PR works, but I’d like technical and accessibilityAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers). My PR to replace instances of `_.includes` with `[].includes` is working, but there’s a spacing style issue with ternary expressions (caused by our Prettier or ESLint forks) that may need addressing prior to merge.

I’d like to share a little update regarding the Navigation project.

A few of us (@talldanwp @andraganescu @isabel_brison @zieladam @karmatosed) have been building out a rudimentary replacement for nav-menus.php which is based on the Navigation blockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. UIUI User interface. This new screen is in a semi functional state and you can see it by switching on the Navigation experiment in the latest GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. A new [Feature] Navigation Screen label tracks issues to do with this new screen, and the Navigation in 5.5 project board tracks work that we think is important for this feature to land in WordPress 5.5.

If you’re interested in helping out with this project, please feel free to pick up one of the tasks in the project board. You can also pingPing The act of sending a very small amount of data to an end point. Ping is used in computer science to illicit a response from a target server to test it’s connection. Ping is also a term used by Slack users to @ someone or send them a direct message (DM). Users might say something along the lines of “Ping me when the meeting starts.” me (@noisysocks) if you have questions or need guidance! ✌️

  I’ve been working on a prototype for moving blocks between nesting levels with the keyboard and would love some feedback and testing on it! -> this PR also addresses the inability to move between nesting levels in navigation mode.
