Found a bugbug A bug is an error or unexpected result. Performance improvements, code optimization, and are considered enhancements, not defects. After feature freeze, only bugs are dealt with, with regressions (adverse changes from the previous version) being the highest priority.? Create a ticket in the bug tracker.

Want to contribute? Get started quickly with tickets marked as good first bugs for new contributors or join a bug scrub. There’s more on the reports page, like patches needing testing, and on feature projects page.

Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner. https://github.com/.

  Something for discussion that I think would be worth highlighting:
  Along with announcing the availability of `__experimentalCreateInterpolateElement` (merged this past week) there’s some comments that have been coming up around conventions for tags in translated strings (example beginning here: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/18623#issuecomment-555996242) I wasn’t aware of the current wp coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. effort to remove htmlHTML HyperText Markup Language. The semantic scripting language primarily used for outputting content in web browsers. tags from strings (and contradicts what I assumed was accepted for core). So I think it’s worthwhile bringing up.
  
  This doesn’t affect usability of the new function but does affect _how_ it is used (and what to watch for in reviews).
  
  Also I think @aduth commented somewhere about whether we should come up with conventions for the naming of the tags (which might be less important considering the core i18ni18n Internationalization, or the act of writing and preparing code to be fully translatable into other languages. Also see localization. Often written with a lowercase i so it is not confused with a lowercase L or the numeral 1. Often an acquired skill. changes) – sorry I can’t remember where he left the comment, hoping he remembers!

We need a developer to pick up the following issue.
The tagtag A directory in Subversion. WordPress uses tags to store a single snapshot of a version (3.6, 3.6.1, etc.), the common convention of tags in version control systems. (Not to be confused with post tags.) “Good first issue” is added to it. If you have been thinking about contributing but are not sure where to start then perhaps this issue could be the one to get you started.
