Found a bugbug A bug is an error or unexpected result. Performance improvements, code optimization, and are considered enhancements, not defects. After feature freeze, only bugs are dealt with, with regressions (adverse changes from the previous version) being the highest priority.? Create a ticket in the bug tracker.
Want to contribute? Get started quickly with tickets marked as good first bugs for new contributors or join a bug scrub. There’s more on the reports page, like patches needing testing, and on feature projects page.

- The Navigation blockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. is proving to be complex, and simplifying it requires breaking it down into smaller issues that need your feedback.

I’d love if we can also spend some time looking at 5.2 logistics including:
- Who can lead it
- What can go in it
- When things should happen

Thanks @chanthaboune, I was going to ask the same about 5.2. I see there’s also a 5.1.1 planned release. Time permitting, I’d like to propose a few things I’d consider among the most important ones in this phase:
- I guess all the teams would appreciate to know as soon as possible what the scope and schedule for 5.1.1 and 5.2 are: all the teams need to organize their work, make plans, triagetriage The act of evaluating and sorting bug reports, in order to decide priority, severity, and other factors. pending tickets, and this information is essential
- audit the state of the various WordPress components and consider improvements: I proposed it a couple times to Mr. Pendergast and he agreed, there was no time to actually have a conversation though
- any updates on “Strengths and Challenges: Follow Up”? Especially for the part related to better collaboration between teams, as also pointed out during the State of the WordState of the Word This is the annual report given by Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress at WordCamp US. It looks at what we’ve done, what we’re doing, and the future of WordPress. https://wordpress.tv/tag/state-of-the-word/. 2018
Aside:
- make blogs: for all teams: recommendation to use the correct headings level when authoring a post on your blogblog (versus network, site). GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ makes this easier. Please don’t use emojis or other extraneous content within the headings and if you did it, please remove them.
