The release candidate package for 5.0.2 is now available for testing. Please help test the release candidate version to ensure the version works as expected.

WordPress 5.0.2 will be released on December 19. It contains 26 core bug fixes, as well as the bugbug A bug is an error or unexpected result. Performance improvements, code optimization, and are considered enhancements, not defects. After feature freeze, only bugs are dealt with, with regressions (adverse changes from the previous version) being the highest priority. fixes and performance improvements from the recent Gutenberg 4.7 release.

Thank you to everyone who’s already helped through testing, bug reporting, submitting patches, as well as all of the feedback we’ve received since WordPress 5.0 was released. 💖

Could I get you to export your field groups and send the export to me (gary@pento.net), so I can test further?

    I already responded to you on SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/.… I have details there about the testing environment… I did not even create any field groups yet. Just activated the ACF Pro betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. 3 to test my custom blocks. BTW, the error does not show up with ACF 5.7.x free version (no gut. support on that yet). Also, Elliot should know about the issue too. I can create a video if needed.

      Ah, I’m able to reproduce it now, I hadn’t tried custom blocks registered through ACF. 🙂

On a test/play site that was on 5.01 I have the betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. But when I updated just now, I’ve had 5.1 alpha installed!
Is that right ?
Should I just manually updated with the 5.0.2 zip download ?

Minor Releases often make improvements to existing features and functionality. nightlies” option, then go to the update screen and re-install the update. This should switch you to WordPress 5.0.2. 🙂

    Tried that but it still installed 5.1 alpha, maybe because that was already installed! No problems, I will restore from my backup that is 5.0.1 and leave it at that, as 5.0.2 is only a couple of days ago, thanks for getting back…
