Found a bugbug A bug is an error or unexpected result. Performance improvements, code optimization, and are considered enhancements, not defects. After feature freeze, only bugs are dealt with, with regressions (adverse changes from the previous version) being the highest priority.? Create a ticket in the bug tracker.

Want to contribute? Get started quickly with tickets marked as good first bugs for new contributors or join a bug scrub. There’s more on the reports page, like patches needing testing, and on feature projects page.

- There will be a Feature PluginFeature Plugin A plugin that was created with the intention of eventually being proposed for inclusion in WordPress Core. See Features as Plugins. Meeting next January 26 at 21:00 UTC (normal dev chat time).
Focus Status Updates
- CustomizerCustomizer Tool built into WordPress core that hooks into most modern themes. You can use it to preview and modify many of your site’s appearance settings.: @westonruter, @celloexpressions

- HTTPSHTTPS HTTPS is an acronym for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure. HTTPS is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. The 'S' at the end of HTTPS stands for 'Secure'. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted. This is especially helpful for protecting sensitive data like banking information. Improvements: @johnbillion
- Multisitemultisite Used to describe a WordPress installation with a network of multiple blogs, grouped by sites. This installation type has shared users tables, and creates separate database tables for each blog (wp_posts becomes wp_0_posts). See also network, blog, site/WP_Site: @jeremyfelt

I won’t be able to make the meeting (never can make the coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. meetings due to the time of day that they happen), but I would really like to see #27048 (https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/27048#comment:28) considered for inclusion in 4.5 – I first proposed it for 3.9 and it’s been dormant since then, but I’ve refreshed and updated it to get it all ready as I really believe it solves a large UXUX User experience issue with the core export tool that hasn’t really seen any real love in a long time.
