Update on Twenty Sixteen

Everyone has done amazing work getting Twenty Sixteen ready to be brought into coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress.. This year, has seen some experimentation in the way we work by using GitHubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner. https://github.com/. It’s always interesting to explore new ways of working and look at how things are done. In that vein, the experimentation is going to carry on by continuing to use GitHub for all contributions to Twenty Sixteen. Twenty Sixteen now also will require 4.4-alpha.

Currently Twenty Sixteen syncs nightly to the theme directory and it will now also be added to the nightly build. This should be set up soon. Twenty Sixteen will now get the benefits of both worlds and that’s great news!
