Hop on the WordPress 4.3 Train: Open Call For Tickets

There comes a time in every great WordPress release that we ask everyone to share a ticketticket Created for both bug reports and feature development on the bug tracker. that is a priority to them. That time is the beginning, and that time is now. In WordPress 4.2, there were 231 defects fixed that had been opened against previous versions of WordPress, in large part do to people championing the issues important to them. Please post a link to a ticket you think needs some more eyes on it.

Scott Taylor put it well at the start of the WordPress 4.2 cycle, so I’ll steal his genius words: “There are over 3000 tickets in TracTrac An open source project by Edgewall Software that serves as a bug tracker and project management tool for WordPress.. I have one WP Texturizer issue that’s been bugging me since at least 2009, so much that I made a test-post for it on my trunk install, and even wrote some unit tests 🙂 Still, the problem lingers on.

Anyways, I made a ticket 6 years ago, which in the end got closed as a duplicate of #4539 4 years ago. Alright, I piggy-backed on that ticketticket Created for both bug reports and feature development on the bug tracker. with my tests, only to have that ticket be closed for “comments have gone off topic and do not match the ticket description”. Fair enough I guess. But the issue is still there.

SO, that leaves the issue with no direct ticket (I’m willing to re-open #10606 though), and French users which have to suffer through badly formatted quotes if their quoted phrase has the bad luck of ending with a link (to sum it up). And I’m pretty sure that users of other non-standard-quote-using languages with typographically-passionate translators (German, maybe?) suffer through this too.

Help me, CoreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. devs; you’re my only hope!
