# The agenda I have for today is going…

The agenda I have for today is going through [the projects-teams-tasks](https://make.wordpress.org/core/wordpress-3-5-teams-and-tasks/)
list and seeing where we are at.

Some goals:

 * I would like to cut the [open enhancements in 3.5](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/query?milestone=3.5&type=enhancement&status=!closed&component=!Media&component=!Upload&component=!Bundled+Theme&group=milestone)
in half by next week (this report peaked at 97 earlier today). Items should to
be either marked for commit or puntpunt Contributors sometimes use the verb "
punt" when talking about a ticket. This means it is being pushed out to a future
release. This typically occurs for lower priority tickets near the end of the
release cycle that don't "make the cut." In this is colloquial usage of the word,
it means to delay or equivocate. (It also describes a play in American football
where a team essentially passes up on an opportunity, hoping to put themselves
in a better position later to try again.).
 * I would like to resume organized, structured bugbug A bug is an error or unexpected
result. Performance improvements, code optimization, and are considered enhancements,
not defects. After feature freeze, only bugs are dealt with, with regressions(
adverse changes from the previous version) being the highest priority. scrubs
   on Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays.
 * I would like any project/task that needs review to get it by this weekend (that’s
   mostly on me).

 6. I have read about 3 billion o-l-d TracTrac An open source project by Edgewall
Software that serves as a bug tracker and project management tool for WordPress.
tickets in the past week to see what can be closed, duped, invalidinvalid A resolution
on the bug tracker (and generally common in software development, sometimes also
_notabug_) that indicates the ticket is not a bug, is a support request, or is
generally invalid.’d, etc. Also, to see what was lingering and forgotten about,
but could also be low-impact quick wins. I also scoured through bugs to see what
was fixable, stuff that has been lingering for a while.
 7. Here are some things I think at least warrant discussion (yea? nay? no way? cool?)
that are NOT currently marked 3.5:
 8. MetaMeta Meta is a term that refers to the inside workings of a group. For us,
this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central
and Make WordPress. / Tax without array of arrays (patched by batmoo)
 9. Middle and Little Endian Date Permastructs
      [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/13701](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/13701)—
this one is honestly a huge bugbug A bug is an error or unexpected result. Performance
improvements, code optimization, and are considered enhancements, not defects.
After feature freeze, only bugs are dealt with, with regressions (adverse changes
from the previous version) being the highest priority. in rewrite, my patchpatch
A special text file that describes changes to code, by identifying the files and
lines which are added, removed, and altered. It may also be referred to as a **
diff**. A patch can be _applied_ to a codebase for testing. may be insufficient,
but it works and I think this issue — deserves some love for our Int’l brothers
     and sisters.
 10. Date Canonical Redirection

     removing options) [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/21719](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/21719)

 13. Updating a term in one taxonomyTaxonomy A taxonomy is a way to group things together.
In WordPress, some common taxonomies are category, link, tag, or post format.

 14. GlotPress Locales
      [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/13069](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/13069)—
Refresh the list in ms.php? Use GlotPress as an external? Do neither?

      * To add to these, I’ve also been looking through some old and new tickets, doing
the same thing… three of these *are* 3.5.
      * Merge PHPMailer 5.2.2 (beta2 currently)
We’ve lost out on almost 2 months of betaBeta A pre-release of software that
is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta
versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly
close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes
often occur as part of the process. testing, and it’s getting dangerously close
to too late for any changes to make their way into PHPMailer 5.2.2 official
if we do actually have problems that require changes.
      * Media Library Bulk Delete Error Handling Improvements
         [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/16165](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/16165)—
        Also fixes [#16164](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/16164).
      * Avoid method redefinitions in docs by using unique method names for internal
hooksHooks In WordPress theme and development, hooks are functions that can
be applied to an action or a Filter in WordPress. Actions are functions performed
when a certain event occurs in WordPress. Filters allow you to modify certain
functions. Arguments used to hook both filters and actions look the same.

      * Should I be adding “commit” keyword to these? They are all commit-ready.
