They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they\u2019ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.wordcamp.org\/about\/\">Learn more<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> Europe 2026 is just around the corner (<a href=\"https:\/\/europe.wordcamp.org\/2026\/tickets\/\">do you have your ticket?<\/a>), and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/europe.wordcamp.org\/2026\/community\/contributor-day\/\">Contributor Day<\/a> in Krak\u00f3w<\/strong> is shaping up to be one of the most focused and action-packed in recent memory. Come ready to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review and discuss the state of meetup groups in your region<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explore what makes meetups thrive and what gets in the way<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to outreach and reactivation strategies for dormant groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share ideas for improving the meetup organizer experience globally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udee0\ufe0f GatherPress. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of our ongoing work on the meetup program, we\u2019ll also have space to discuss <strong>GatherPress<\/strong>, a WordPress-native event management tool being evaluated as the future of meetup coordination. If you\u2019ve tested it, used it, or just have questions, come share your experience. Organizer feedback is exactly what the project needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcca Contributor Dashboard, open to all teams. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/wpcontributordashboard.org\/\">Contributor Dashboard<\/a> is a project that touches every corner of the WordPress contributor ecosystem, and <strong>Francesco di Candia<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/francescodicandia\/\" class=\"mention\"><span class=\"mentions-prefix\">@<\/span>francescodicandia<\/a>) will be leading this conversation at our table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re especially hoping to hear from contributors across different teams, not just Community. If you\u2019re from <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>Core<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Core<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress.<\/span><\/span><\/span>, Training, Polyglots, Documentation, or anywhere else: <strong>come by for a bit<\/strong>. Your perspective on what a useful contributor dashboard looks like is exactly the input that will shape it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ll be exploring:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What data and recognition matter most to contributors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How the dashboard can support retention and make the contributor journey more visible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What would have helped <em>you<\/em> get started or keep going<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udee0\ufe0f Process Q&amp;A and hands-on tasks.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those who want to get into the weeds: there\u2019ll be space to vet meetup and WordCamp applications, triage HelpScout conversations, and answer questions from newer supporters and organizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udc4b Onboarding for new contributors.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Never contributed to the Community Team before? This is the perfect place to start. We\u2019ll walk you through what we do, how decisions get made, and how you can plug in, no technical background required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\">\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcda A note on the Education table<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, there\u2019s a dedicated <strong>Education table<\/strong> run independently by <strong>Maciej Pilarski<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/gomp\/\" class=\"mention\"><span class=\"mentions-prefix\">@<\/span>gomp<\/a>), where you\u2019ll be able to discuss WordPress learning initiatives (WordPress Campus Connect, WordPress Credits, WordPress Student Clubs), lesson plans, and educational programs. If that\u2019s your area of interest, head there, and feel free to move between tables throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\">\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udd1d Want to help facilitate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The table will be led by me, but more voices are always better. Find more about program supporters in our <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/community\/handbook\/community-deputy\/\">Program Supporter Handbook<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>, or <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>Event Supporter<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Event Supporter<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Event Supporter (formerly Mentor) is someone who has already organised a WordCamp and has time to meet with their assigned mentee every 2 weeks, they talk over where they should be in their timeline, help them to identify their issues, and also identify solutions for their issues.<\/span><\/span><\/span> attending <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>Contributor Day<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Contributor Day<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time.
