They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they\u2019ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.wordcamp.org\/about\/\">Learn more<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> Asia 2026 in Mumbai brought together contributors, organizers, and volunteers from across the region, and the Community Team created a space for onboarding, consultation, and program outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Team Leads and Supports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Community Team table was led by\u00a0@devinmaeztri\u00a0and\u00a0@_dorsvenabili, with support from\u00a0@khleomix,\u00a0@mosescursor, <a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/nukaga\/\" class=\"mention\"><span class=\"mentions-prefix\">@<\/span>nukaga<\/a> and\u00a0@webtechpooja. Thank you for your contribution! \ud83e\udde1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We facilitated discussions, guided new contributors, and helped community members connect with the right pathways for involvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Introduced the WordPress <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>Meetup<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Meetup<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Learn more about Meetups in our <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/community\/handbook\/meetup-organizer\/\">Meetup Organizer Handbook<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> program and WordCamp\/WordPress event<\/strong>, helping attendees understand how to start or grow local groups and events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reviewed Meetup and WordCamp applications<\/strong>, offering feedback and guidance to organizers at different stages of their planning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Provided WordPress Event and <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>Program Supporter<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Program Supporter<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Community Program Supporters (formerly Deputies) are a team of people worldwide who review WordCamp and Meetup applications, interview lead organizers, and keep things moving at WordCamp Central.
