Invoices for tickets

Sometimes your attendees would like to receive an invoice for their ticket purchase. Activate the Invoices plugin

To enable the invoices plugin, take the following steps:

  • Login to your WordCamp website
  • Go to Plugins
  • Activate “Camptix Invoices for WordCamp.org”

Setting up the Invoices plugin

Before you can start issuing invoices, you’ll need to set it up. Let us walk you right through that process!

  • Login to your WordCamp site
  • Go to Tickets -> Setup -> Invoicing
  • Set ‘Activate invoice requests’ to Yes
  • Set ‘Yearly reset’ to Yes
  • Set ‘VAT number’ to Yes
  • If you want, upload your logo (250x200px)

If you’re running the money through WPCSWordPress Community Support WordPress Community Support PBC is a Public Benefit Corporation, created specifically to be the financial and legal support for WordCamps, WordPress Meetup groups, and any additional “official” events organized within the WordPress Community Events program., enter the following information in the ‘Company Address’ field:

If you’re not running they money through WPCS, enter the company details of the company in charge of collecting the ticket payments.

Don’t forget to save your changes!

Manually creating a ticket invoice

If you already sold tickets before you enabled this plugin, or if an attendee forgot to ask for an invoice while purchasing their ticket, you can always manually create an invoice. To do this, take the following steps:

  • Login to your WordPress site
  • Find the attendee who requested the invoice under Tickets -> Attendees.
  • If they indeed purchased a ticket, ask them for the following additional information:
    • Address
    • VAT number (if applicable)
  • Now go to Tickets -> Invoices -> Add New Invoice
  • Complete all the fields

You’ve now manually created an invoice for them!
