Super Deputies are held to high expectations when supporting important projects of the Global WordPress Community Team. They act in the best interest of the program and its members and work collaboratively with other Super Deputies (no unilateral decision-making).

This team has committed to a consistent amount of contribution time over an extended period and has demonstrated excellent mentorship and willingness to share knowledge with others. Super Deputies play a large role in shaping the future of community team programs.

The requirements to become a Super DeputySuper deputy Super Deputies are Deputies who can perform extra tasks on WordCamp.org like creating new sites and publishing WordCamps to the schedule. are:

  • To have an impeccable experience as a contributor of the Community Team
  • Being an active, experienced, and trusted Community Deputy
  • To have, at least, 5 hours per week available to contribute to the Global Community TeamGlobal Community Team A group of community organizers and contributors who collaborate on local events about WordPress — monthly WordPress meetups and/or annual conferences called WordCamps.
  • To be nominated by one current Super Deputy for their excellent work as a mentorMentor Someone who has already organised a WordCamp and has time to meet with their assigned mentee every 2 weeks, they talk over where they should be in their timeline, help them to identify their issues, and also identify solutions for their issues. and as a deputyDeputy Community Deputies are a team of people all over the world who review WordCamp and Meetup applications, interview lead organizers, and generally keep things moving at WordCamp Central.   • 100% positive votes from all Super Deputies

Because of the level of access given, this is a role that implies a very high level of trust. Self-nominations to become a Super Deputy are not accepted.

If you’re a new Super Deputy, you will receive Super Deputy rights via a special permission set called a “super-deputy.” This will give you super admin powers for some portion of the network. People having Super Deputy permissions are listed on the Community Deputies page.
