# First Coworking Session: Thursday, August 13

Following up on “[Rethinking our Monthly Team Meetings](https://make.wordpress.org/community/2026/07/23/rethinking-our-monthly-team-meetings/)“,
we’re running our first coworking session next Thursday, August 13th.

Time: 11:30 UTC

What we’ll work on: the [handbooks restructure proposal](https://make.wordpress.org/community/2026/07/03/proposal-restructure-the-community-team-handbooks/),
picking up the audit work and moving pieces of it forward together.

**Format:** short kickoff to align on what we’re tackling, then a focused work blockBlock
Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together,
form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines
concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and
embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience., then a quick
wrap-up on what got done and what’s still open.

This is a first test of the new format, so expect some rough edges, and feel free
to just show up even if you haven’t been involved in the handbooks proposal before.
All you need is some available time and curiosity.

We’ll follow up here with a short recap after the session.
