Summary: We talked about how our July Diverse Speaker workshops went and the plans for beginner & intermediate workshops August through November. I shared a document for feedback for volunteer sign-ups for workshop assistants. Our workshops are going to be part of the new Learn WordPress initiative, for self-guided learning and live group discussions. We followed up on team members’ current tasks.

@abhanonstopnewsuk, @Nalini, and the Marketing team did a great job of helping us promote and get a higher attendance in July!
@abhanonstopnewsuk, @Nalini , @OGlekler and @lmurillom are working on our August and September workshops now.
Starting in August, we are doing something else new: We are alternating beginner and intermediate workshops each month.

Trainings for meetupsMeetupMeetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Learn more about Meetups in our Meetup Organizer Handbook., hold your own Diverse Speaker workshops: On September 24, @angelasjin is holding one for the Asia time zone. On October 24, @miriamgoldman is holding one for the Americas time zone.
2. Feedback requested: New form for workshop volunteers
This month, I am trying out formalizing the assistant & mentorEvent SupporterEvent Supporter (formerly Mentor) is someone who has already organised a WordCamp and has time to meet with their assigned mentee every 2 weeks, they talk over where they should be in their timeline, help them to identify their issues, and also identify solutions for their issues. roles for help during the workshop. I would love your feedback on this roles sign-up document. Today would be best, but over the next few days is also ok.
3. Our workshops going online for self-guided training and group discussions
Along with the world changes, the Community team is adapting. As such, we are preparing a roadmap for workshops that people can watch in their own time, and live group discussions about the material:

4. How are your tasks going?
What are you working on? How is it going? Do you have any obstacles? With colour:
Green: On plan. No help needed.
Yellow: Not on plan but I have a strategy to get there
Red: Not on plan, no plan to get there, I’m lost!
