It’s time for our annual user and developer survey! If you’re a WordPress user or professional, we want your feedback. You can take part in the survey at this link.

Please also promote this survey among the members of your meetup group!  This document has helpful copy for encouraging your members of your group to take the survey.

Discussion: Community Swag

The community team has shortened the 18 month limit on meetup groups ordering swag packs to 12 months. There is now a discussion on the WordPress Community blog on how helpful the shortening of the limit has been? And if there is still a strong demand for this swag?

We highly recommend taking part in this discussion as a meetup organizer.

Video: The History of WordPress in 4 minutes

For the opening remarks at WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. para Desarrolladores Sevilla 2019, @nilovelez put together a “History of WordPress” video, that, in just about 4 minutes, covers how WordPress has changed over the years.It took him almost three months, and 35 Docker-Compose projects and 4 virtual machines to create!

Diverse Speaker Training Workshops

As an organizer, have you ever had challenges getting women and people from other under-represented groups to speak at your meetupsMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Learn more about Meetups in our Meetup Organizer Handbook. and WordCamps? So have we. One of the issues that would come up is people feel they have nothing to say that audiences would want to hear.

The Diverse Speaker Training workshop (#wpdiversity) run by the Community Team busts through this and other obstacles.
