New tool for Community Deputies: Meetup Tracker

I’m glad to announce that we will not have to use the “MeetupMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). The Meetup Tracker is a new tool that the Global Community TeamGlobal Community Team A group of community organizers and contributors who collaborate on local events about WordPress — monthly WordPress meetups and/or annual conferences called WordCamps. will use to track all current Meetup.com groups, and new Meetup applications received via the new form for the Meetup Chapter Program.

This tool is hosted in the dashboard of central.wordcamp.org, and if you’re an active Community DeputyDeputy Community Deputies are a team of people all over the world who review WordCamp and Meetup applications, interview lead organizers, and generally keep things moving at WordCamp Central. Find more about deputies in our Community Deputy Handbook. who has been vetting Meetup applications and/or sending swag for the last 6 months, you should have received access to it already.
