- Location for documentation and shared docs. Since much of plan is moving to the make handbooks, where do we put shared documents, how do we decide what documentation goes where.

https://wordpress.org/support/forum/meetups – Is that still useful for you? If not, can we close it or redirect it to make/community? The forum is mostly something we end up cleaning out for spam, but if you find it useful, we’ll leave it alone 🙂

    I wasn’t aware. The why of reviving it was simply because it was still out there. If it’s supposed to be gone, then getting more active moderation is moot.

      We were waiting to shut it down until a) we got the meetupMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Learn more about Meetups in our Meetup Organizer Handbook. application stuff in place (done), and b) there was some talk at one point of having disappear when forums got upgraded to bbpressbbPress Free, open source software built on top of WordPress for easily creating forums on sites. https://bbpress.org. pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party, but that conversation lasted years and I don’t know where it wound up. Now that we have an official place with info/to apply *and* we have slackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/., there’s no reason to have an extra place to monitor for meetup questions.

        It’s stuck in Dante’s Inferno with everything else that’s in the planned upgrade of the forums :/
        
        Since (b) is a long time coming, we can open a metaMeta Meta is a term that refers to the inside workings of a group. For us, this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central and Make WordPress. ticket and have Otto hide it like we did ‘My WordPress.’ (aka spam central)
