We heard updates about a new project (WPCD) and WordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. site improvements. - This is a proof-of-concept project that would aggregate upcoming WordPress Contributor Day Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time. - Purpose is to encourage new contributors to the project, empower people to run a contributor day with or without a WordCamp, and allow WordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ teams to know when a contributor day is coming up so they can be prepared.

- Final discussion (about themes and templates) is underway. It would be nice to get more discussion and feedback on the topic.
- Survey will be published next week and after the results come in we can start moving forward on implementing some of the changes.
