Whew, after a marathon 2 hour discussion, we agreed to
- some changes in the language of the acknowledgement packages (changing “first crack at tables” to “will be offered space” and changing the language around opening/closing remarks/programs/etc to “thanks at the event”
- ask chapter account meetupMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Learn more about Meetups in our Meetup Organizer Handbook. groups (or meetup groups that agree to the 5 good-faith rules and have posted them publicly) to acknowledge global community sponsors on a separate Sponsor page.
- set a meeting to discuss the baggage caused in some countries by using the word “official” to refer to meetupsMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month).
