WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. San Francisco is this weekend and the community summit will follow next week. WPTV will have a discussion group covering a variety of topics including documentation for AV equipment use, process for new moderator orientation, post-production workflow, captioning for videos and making WPTV a useful community resource.

WPTV Moderator meeting next Wednesday!

There will be a IRC chat on Wednesday the 29th (exact time TBD) during the community summit for those who want to talk about and give input about what was discussed. A post will follow detailing the exact time. Also if you’ll be at WCSF then WPTV will be at the Contributor DayContributor Day Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time. Videos are being uploaded from WordCamp Europe and WordCamp Tampa this week and a few from WordCamp Kansai in Japan.

There were 2 videos that did not get published this week because of technical problems in the videos. We did publish 13 videos from 7 WordCamps from around the world. Thank you very much Michael! That are really good news. I wish i colud also be in SF for the next week(end) 😉 WPTV will grow up and even better!

I watched the first video from your top three list (Chris Lema) and asked me if it is ok to tag this video (afterwards) as “featured”. I think it is worth! This question is also a basic question because sometimes we could view older stuff and think about changing or updating tags, description, etc. 🙂

  Wish we could all be there together. This is a super opportunity to get a lot done.
  
  You can update the videos. Sometimes tags or descriptions get left out and slides may become available later and they can be updated.
  
  You can always use the FEATURE ME tag. If you can publish then use the Featured tag.
  I’m not sure that an already published video will show in the main featured box. I can find out and let you know.

  Adding the Featured tag to an already published video will add it to the side of the main Featured box but not to the main box. They are displayed by publish date.
  
  If you find a nice video that should be featured let Jerry know, maybe it can be added to the WPTV blog post that goes out.

Maine had technical difficulties, given that most of the other talks were uploaded? Is there a proper channel for me to check on that other than this comment? Thanks!
