Languages: Should we tag them “French” or “Français”

Howdy ModSquad, thanks to @johnparkinson I caught this post about how hard it is to browse wordpress.tv for videos by language. To make life a little easier, I added a widgetWidget A WordPress Widget is a small block that performs a specific function. You can add these widgets in sidebars also known as widget-ready areas on your web page. WordPress widgets were originally created to provide a simple and easy-to-use way of giving design and structure control of the WordPress theme to the user. to the WordCamp TV category page to allow us to show all the languages we have videos for.

Here it is in action:

So, that is an improvement at least, but in setting it up I noticed that we often have two languages when one will suffice. For example, we have just one taxonomyTaxonomy A taxonomy is a way to group things together. In WordPress, some common taxonomies are category, link, tag, or post format. https://codex.wordpress.org/Taxonomies#Default_Taxonomies. for German videos (“German”) but two for French videos (“French” and “Français”) so the question is, which should we use?

Should we keep using English names for these languages, or actually use their, you know, real name?
