Open-sourcing the theme is something I’d love to do, and it’s on my list, but right now there are a lot of other things that are a higher priority.

“Browse by Year”, “Browse by WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more.”, and several other similar lists are built with menus. Really they should be done programmatically so that they would automatically update, but right now it’s a manual process.

I added the 2014 categoryCategory The 'category' taxonomy lets you group posts / content together that share a common bond. Categories are pre-defined and broad ranging. to the “Browse by Year” menu so that it would show up in the sidebarSidebar A sidebar in WordPress is referred to a widget-ready area used by WordPress themes to display information that is not a part of the main content. It is not always a vertical column on the side. It can be a horizontal rectangle below or above the content area, footer, header, or any where in the theme. list. I think there are some older years that could be added as well.

To get newer camps on the WordCamp TV category template, I added Atlanta and Paris to the Featured WordCamps menu, and then I tagged the Cain and Obenland presentation from Atlanta as “featured”.

I didn’t put a lot of thought into those choices, though; I just picked a few obvious ones to use to make sure it worked. So, it’d probably be good for someone to go through those menus and featured posts and update them again with the camps/videos that represent the best of 2014, if anyone is interested.

Thanks for all that info! I have no access to the menus, but I’m glad to see it updated for 2014 🙂
