Importing /Events

As discussed previously, we’ll be merging with the /events team. @iandunn is working on a mod to P2P2 P2 or O2 is the term people use to refer to the Make WordPress blog. This way, if a contributor only wants to pay attention to, for example, WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. There’s no way currently to only subscribe to a category feed with the Jetpack email notifications (though feed readers do still work), but hopefully we’ll be looking at options to provide that ability as well at some point (if anyone wants to volunteer to look into this, leave a comment). I did request this feature from the Jetpack team a while back and they said I was an edge case and no one else had ever asked for that.

So please excuse the mess while we do the import, and welcome to all the wonderful people doing community outreach at local events!
