In preparation for the\u00a02017 WordPress Community Summit (\u201cCS\u201d) on June 13th-14th before WordCampWordCamp<\/span> WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they\u2019ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> Europe in Paris, France we\u2019ve been asked<\/a> to provide the following (in summary):<\/p>\n

  1. A list of topics for the\u00a0CS<\/li>\n
  2. A list of representatives to attend the\u00a0CS<\/li>\n
  3. One or two contributors who are willing to help with the organization of the\u00a0CS<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This post serves as a request for input for the above three areas. Note that these three requests are detailed further with some clarifying notes on Make\/Summit<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Feel free to pingPing<\/span> The act of sending a very small amount of data to an end point. Ping is used in computer science to illicit a response from a target server to test it\u2019s connection. Ping is also a term used by Slack users to @ someone or send them a direct message (DM). Users might say something along the lines of \u201cPing me when the meeting starts.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span> me privately in SlackSlack<\/span> Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https:\/\/slack.com\/<\/a>. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/chat\/<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span> if you prefer.\u00a0I will send a summary of the responses with the Community Summit team on Wednesday, March 1st (as I\u2019ll be offline on Thursday and Friday).<\/p>\n
