WP-CLIWP-CLI WP-CLI is the Command Line Interface for WordPress, used to do administrative and development tasks in a programmatic way. The project page is http://wp-cli.org/ https://make.wordpress.org/cli/’s next release, v1.4.0, is just around the corner: Tuesday, October 17th. If you’ve contributed to WP-CLI before, here are a few moderately advanced issues I’d love to see fixed in the next release:

• Introduce --version=beta argument for updating to latest WordPress beta
  Adding this flag to wp core update will make it much easier for users to test the latest build during the betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. • Fail build when scaffolded README is out of date
  The README for every WP-CLI repository is dynamically generated from its corresponding codebase. It currently has the problem of always being out of date. To better ensure it’s kept up to date, we should add some checking in the pull request workflow.
