Welcome to the official blog for the WordPress Accessibility team.

The WordPress Accessibility Coding Standards state that

“All new or updated code released in WordPress must conform with the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA.”

In an effort to help reach that goal, the A11y Team provides accessibility expertise across the project to improve the accessibility of WordPress core and WordPress resources.

See the Accessibility Coding Standards for more information.
